Prepare the SampleTake a representative dry sample of sand (~500g to 1000g).Record the total weight (W) of the sample.2. Stack the SievesArrange the 200 mm sieves in order:Top: 4.75 mmThen: 2.36 mm → 1.18 mm → 600 µm → 300 µm → 150 µm → 75 µmBottom: Pan3. Sieve the SamplePlace the sand on the top (4.75 mm) sieve.Cover and shake for 10–15 minutes using a mechanical shaker (or manually).After sieving, carefully collect and weigh the amount retained on each sieve.4.
