Swimming Conditions Swimming in Wasdale offers an extraordinary experience. The water dazzles with remarkable clarity, often providing visibility over 20 metres—an exceptional standard for the Lake District. Swim Ability & Fitness Level This adventure is suitable for confident swimmers comfortable with swimming 5 kilometres or more in open water. A good fitness level is required, as the journey includes moderate hill walking across typical Lake District terrain. A comprehensive itinerary will be provided upon booking to help you prepare for the adventure ahead.
