We stay at one of our fave accommodation locations, Brathay Hall, a Georgian mansion, with some of the best swimming in the country accessible right from the lawn. The perfect outdoor swimmers’ venue! We will swim the rivers, pools and tarns that make this often overlooked part of the Lakes unique for swimmers. For Swim the Lakes regulars you can expect the same great experience, but with different swimming locations. From out of the way tarns to bubbling waterfall pools, this trip has some truly wonderful swimming experiences in store. We know we’ve put together a great trip when even we get excited about it! �� More Adventures in the Beautiful South – Swim Ability & Fitness: For confident outdoor swimmers who can comfortably swim a mile in open water and hike over uneven and sometimes steep terrain. Moderate fitness level required. This is an easy-paced and relaxed trip, with the emphasis on chilled out swimming in cascading rivers and out of the way tarns. The walks to our swims are not too taxing but will take up a significant part of our day. We travel between them in our Swim bus, so we’ll have plenty of time for swimming and we never have to rush our tea and cake. What’s Included in our Swimming Adventure: Comfortable accommodation on the shores of Windermere in a Georgian mansion house. Choose Luxury Single or Twin rooms. All meals including 2-course dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings, top quality packed lunches on both days, and breakfast Saturday and Sunday. Tea & coffee are available free from the lounge at Brathay Hall. Parking at the accommodation is free. Qualified & experienced swimming guides, lifeguards and mountain leaders will accompany you on our swims and the walks that lead to them. Transportation between swims in our Swim bus with our knowledgeable and friendly local swim guide. Drinks and cake stop.
