Product Description Zone 3 Neoprene Thermo-tech Warm Swim Mitts We are often asked for advice about keeping hands warm when swimming in open water. As guides and outdoor swimmers here at Swim the Lakes in Ambleside, we have been using Zone 3’s heat-tech range of gloves and socks for years and swear by them. Zone 3 have now launched a Mitten version – the Neoprene Thermo-tech Warmth Swim Mitt. Why a neoprene mitten? Well, mittens tend to feel warmer than gloves as the fingers can share warmth, and the surface area to loose heat is reduced, compared to a glove. The Thermo-Tech Mitts are brilliant for any swimmer who wants to keep their hands warmer to allow for a longer swim time. These swim mitts have an easy-access design which helps make the mitts easier to put on and take off. The high-stretch double-lined neoprene offers superb flexibility and warmth. Zone 3 Thermo-Tech Mitts are made using 3.5mm thick double-lined neoprene. This is the same as the heat-tech gloves, and feature a titanium lining to encourage warmth retention. All the seams are glued and blind stitched. Seams benefit from the addition of an external liquid neoprene seal on the seams, providing a watertight barrier. The Zone3 Swim Mitts also feature a durable 3D-printed palm to help with grip and catch in the water.
