Product Description The Buttermere Swim Hike sums up our approach to wild swimming in the Lake District. This swim combines our love for all things outdoors. We swim the most interesting shoreline route along the length of Buttermere. En route we travel right beneath the shadow of Fleetwith Pike, High Stile and Hay Stacks. Some of the finest sighting marks in Britain! The crystal clear water running from the rocky fells surrounding the lake makes for exceptional underwater views too! The finale of our swim is fascinating and leads us to the beginning of our return hike. A classic walk in its own right, through old stands of larch and pine and with fine views of the lake and surrounding fells. Buttermere Swim Hike is a real adventure The Buttermere swim hike provides a real adventure swim as we will carry most of our kit with us in tow floats and on our support boats (we recommend the Puffin Billy 28 Drybag Tow Float), so we can change and enjoy some lakeshore hot choc and cake, and then carry on hiking after our swim. It’s the perfect way to spend a long morning in the Lakes. We plan to enjoy every aspect of what this part of the Lakes has to offer. Our friendly and experienced guides have been exploring here for most of their lives and are always nearby to offer advice. Buttermere Swim Hike Itinerary We will be swimming and hiking in a mountainous area. So our itinerary is dependent on the weather but we hope to enjoy all that Buttermere has to offer. We will meet in Buttermere at 09:30, with the meeting place, venue and itinerary to be confirmed upon booking.
